| Saturday, June 2nd 2007 It never fails. If there's a big game on T.V. you can garauntee that "finding mary" is at SPUDDY'S. If you're a sports fan in North-East Ohio, I bet you can remember where you were for every big game this part of the state's had to offer. Well there's a whole bunch of people that will allways remember they were at SPUDDY'S on Saturday, June 2nd when the Cleveland Cavaliers put the Detroit Pistons away with extreme predjudice to clinch the eastern division championship and advance to the NBA finals. Even if they don't remember the name of the crappy band that played during half time and after the game that night. We really had a super time for our first trip to SPUDDY'S in 2007. The crowd is just as we remember; fun loving and hard drinking. I can't even tell you how many of my hillbilly buddies from the P'ville Speedway that stopped in. Thanks fellas. And thanks to the SPUDDY'S regulars that just know how to PARTY!! They were in and out all night as the patio is the desiganted smoking area, so at one point I ventured out to hang with the patio crowd. We'd like to thank Butch's semi-brother-in-law, Jim for stopping in and playing drums on "Play That Funky Music, White Boy". It gave Butch an oppurtunity to act like an entertainer and Ted and I an oppurtunity to try out a new drummer. Of course the whole night hinged on the CAV'S being successfull as we've seen crowds storm out the door after a big loss. (Ohio State/Texas) So the biggest thanks of the night we reserve to LeBron James and The Cleveland Cavaliers for making Rasheed and his friends cry like little babies. They really made our night a success. And thanks again to everyone who comes out to support us there. Our next band appearance is scheduled for Saturday, August 4th, but keep checking this web site as Butcha and I will be doing some Thursday night patio jobs throughout the summer. Thanks again everyone. SPUDDY'S crowds really make us feel like we're at home. Check out the pictures below and we'll see you soon. | (Below) Our equipment at idle 'til half time when we "sprinkled the infield" with six hits. As soon as the game neded with the CAV'S victory we kicked off one, two hour set with "Hang On Sloopy" and just let it rip the whole night long!! |
