The staff and parents of All Around Gymnastics Academy in Mentor have been long time supporters of The finding mary Party Band. You'll often see them hanging out with the band at the area clubs. As a way of saying thanks we provide live entertainment for some of their fund raiser events. Team gymnastics is different from other organized sports in that practices and competitions can't be held at your local school yard. Meets are sometimes far away and have entry fee's that, without the assistance of fund raising, would be impossible to attend. (check out the All-Around Gymnastics Academy web site and you'll see what I mean) The Booster's Annual Reverse Raffle and Chinese Auction, held at the PATRICIAN PARTY CENTER, 33150 Lakeland Blvd. was our third time playing for these things and they're always a blast. This event was chock full of chances to win money. Beside the two main events there were MANY side board drawings going on. The three of us in the band all came away with a little bit of winnings. In fact this was the first time Butch and I won more money than the Yeti. He's like a giant lucky rabits foot.     Anyways, it was awesome to get up an perform for the families that keep their kids in the sport I love and find to be the most difficult and challenging of all. I don't mean to put other sports down but until you wrap your head around some of the intense skills gymnastics requires at such an early age, you really can't appreciate what these awesome little girls are up against. That's why we thank all of you who made this year's raffle so successful and allowed these wonderful children to travel to some of the best meets in the state as well as the country. I personally thank the boosters for the help they've given to our National TOP's Testing trip to Houston, Texas. My daughter Megan will be attempting to make the National Talent Oppurtunity Testing Team for the third year in a row and proving herself as one of the strongest and best gymnasts in the country. This program has developed many of our countries greatest National and Olympic team members. It also gives the attending coaches a great deal of information in the training of our athletes. I personally have acquired a great deal of knowledge over the years I've attended these camps that I use everyday in our gym to teach and train the teams I work with. Megan and I both thank you all and hope to make all of you proud. Congratulations to all the prize winners, even though the true winners are athletes you've chosen to help. I hope to see all of you at the meets this season and Butch, Ted and I would love to see you at one of our club shows.
